Playful microinteractions in digital services

Exploring how to put playful microinteractions into practice in the domain of public digital services with the goal to facilitate a more engaging user experience. This was done by integrating playfulness into an existing customs calculator to test how it affects the experience.

Playfulness in design can be used as a mean for engaging the user and enhancing the users’ positive understanding of the service they interact with.
